Locations Where Training Is Provided

There are currently 24 active teaching practices in Rural, Remote and Metropolitan Area (RRMA) 3 to 5 locations that are accredited to accept Registrars within the NEATS program for Basic, Advanced or Subsequent terms. All training practices hold RACGP Teaching Post Accreditation and most are pursuing ACRRM Teaching Post Accreditation for 2007. It is expected that additional Practices will be recruited by NEATS and accredited during 2007. Current training practices are located in the following communities:

Larger Regional Centres (RRMA 3): Tamworth.
Larger Regional Centres (RRMA 4): Armidale, Moree
Medium/Small Rural Towns (RRMA 5): Manilla, Gunnedah, Inverell, Narrabri, Bingara, Warialda, Glen Innes
Note: Hospital terms are currently undertaken at Tamworth Base Hospital.
